The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's
94 calls to action

In 2015, The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada produced 94 calls to action “in order to redress the legacy of residential schools and advance the process of Canadian reconciliation” (Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action).

The calls speak to the legacy of residential schools in Indigenous child welfare, education, language and culture, health, and justice; reconciliation in policy, settlements, equity in the legal system, the creation of a National Council for Reconciliation, professional development and training for public servants, church apologies, education for reconciliation, youth programs, museums and archives, missing children and burial information, National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, commemoration, media and reconciliation, sports and reconciliation, business and reconciliation, and newcomers to Canada. Each of the topics listed in this summary have individual calls to action associated to them, and we cannot include all 94 here. They are relevant to this work and important for all Canadians to be familiar with. Please access them online by using this link.
